Exclusive: Homeless rejection in NYC ..... "Is This Why It's Called--'The City That Never Sleeps'..?........"

Good Afternoon;
This should link to a TV news story video,
if not try the title to the post.

"Thank Goodness For Wooden Shoes........."

Good Morning;
Well, it figures on the day I am up awake at 7:30 am.....with no damn reason to be up or anywhere to go or money to spend....it is pouring down rain as fast and hard as Father Bob and Brother Neal on a new choirboy!
I put on my coat and ran over to the Giant to use the bathroom and remembered the hard way that this coat does not have a waterproof shell, that coat I left over Jenn's a while ago, and it's kinda late to go get it at this point.
So I'm sitting here stuck in the shed keeping an eye on the old known leaks and trying to deal with the new ones and hoping they are only because of the extreme volume of water being deposited on the shed roof. There are puddles forming in certain areas below and beyond my slightly raised 'lair', where the cardboard boxes laid down as a walkway and for absorbent purposes is being overwhelmed. Tomorrow should be a fun day, (if the rain stops), as I will have to strip out the lovely disintegrating wet sheets and hopefully find some clean, new boxes frm either the liquor store, FedEx/Kinkos, or both in the dumpster.
Okay, that's it for now, I've got to go play 'Little Dutch Boy' and go stick my finger in a dyke to divert the flow......and then I have to deal with the water streaming in here when she leaves........lol!

"One For My Baby.......And.....One More For The Road...................."

Good Morning;
Well I'm messed up as regards sleep cycles, biorhythms, insomnia, and depression.
I can't get to sleep because of all the voices inside my head, and then when I do sleep it messes up the cycle so that I'm nodding out in the middle of the day, when I can even force myself to get up and out. Then the meds that do work on the depression tend to keep me awake....at the wrong times. I was up until after 4:00 am. yesterday, and then up at 7:00 am., fell back to sleep until 11:00 am with most of my body too warm and my right foot cold as ice, and my fingers swollen. Called to make another appt. with the PCP to get a referral to a circulation specialist, aka, Vascular Surgeon. Now I wait for a letter in the mail with time and date.

I could not force myself to even start making an attempt to get up until after 1:30 pm., I hurt SO damn bad, physically, mentally, emotionally, it was all I could do to find 10 reasons to keep living. Depression hurts, as the ads say, but add in the known neuro-osteo-spinal issues, factor in the cold and damp of the gathering storm just before the weather breaks, and the damn Fibromyalgia........and it's no wonder I feel like 'two bags of dead mice'!!

But Erik called and wanted to meet so he could take a look at the laptop to see about some issues I was having with it, and offered a shower and some espresso, so I dragged my raggedy ass over to the Giant and made a mug of instant Amaretto Cappuccino Hot Cocoa with 2 extra packets of instant coffee in it for good measure with the water from the faucet, (which is somewhere in the 160 degree range again thank goodness), that was barely liquid enough to drink....as a sort of concentrated kick in the ass to get me moving and soaked a wad of paper towels in the hot water and plastered them to my face, kind of like the 'Three Stooges' or 'The Marx Brothers' in a barbershop/beauty salon skit......THAT got my attention.....lol. Then I went over to Erik's apartment with him and showered and had another shot of coffee while he worked on the computer, then we sat and talked for an hour or so about everything from laptops to camping and survivalist skills, to cats and the 2012 Mayan calendar predictions, to weather and politics.
The shower more than anything else helped along with the human interaction. After that I headed over to the coffee shop to eat and read for a while, then back here to the Giant to use the restroom and get some Powerade. I'm down to my last dollar that has to stretch until April 2nd. when I get some cash.....yeah right... at least I'll be able to eat most of the month and stretch my Foodstamps thanks to someone from somewhere who gave me a B-A-B of breakfast sandwiches......(that's 'big-ass-bag'.......lol.

Anyway it's that time again....

"Day's Of Whine And Neuroses..........................."

Good Morning;
Well it was another day of 'inertia in action', which can also be read, "inertia=inaction".
And after finally getting myself out of the fetal position and dressed and in motion, after spending all afternoon with maps and train and bus schedules and routes to figure out if I could get there and back to "The Spoken Word" poetry reading without getting stranded in the middle of the night; in the middle of nowhere, or, in the middle of the 'hood,.....(I love Michelle ...'Truly, Madly, Deeply', but her driving scares the piss out of me, especially since I have already 'died' in one auto accident, and do not wish to repeat the feat, I don't remember the actual dying/death part, but take it from me, {and I'm sure JC will back me on this}, resurrection is a stone cold bitch!).....,and right after I get settled on the Light Rail...it gets cancelled because of a power failure at the Thai Cafe. Back to the coffeeshop, dinner, Allan stops by, (and he must have a remote sensing "Bitch-o-Meter" 'cause he always seems to pop in when I'm in the foulest mood), we talked. I had to call Erik because the laptop still tells me to activate something that is already activated or it will be kicking my ass to the Internet curb in 3 days, so I need to meet with him tomorrow (today), unless the friggin' rain starts first......we are supposed to get some continuous downpours of Biblical proportions between Wednesday evening and Friday morning. There are flood warnings posted already, an open casting call has gone out for men named Noah with sailing and animal husbandry experience....and no that last phrase does not mean shepherds with wives named "Baaaa-bra"!
Then it was out here to the Giant where I met Jenn shopping and gave her a B-A-B of breakfast sandwiches to store in the fridge and freezer. (oh that stands for Big Ass Bag....lol!), and since not much else went off well today why should this be any different? I alternate between her phone number and the 'ex'es' as my Giant Bonus Card ID to give them both the gas points at Shell. Well guess who did not know she had a coupon for 5% of her next purchase....and happened to go through the check out line before she did when he bought his box of single serve instant coffee packets? Yeah that would be me, and of course she was buying almost $300.00 worth of groceries this time.
"No Good Deed Goes Unpunished!"
Add in the oncoming stomach cramps that I am feeling and the cold sore/fever blister forming on my upper lip, (and I NEVER get them)...plus the now frozen fingers of my right hand and the tip of the index finger on my left hand, (the only part not touching the fan exhaust of the laptop....lol), and it's the perfect end to a perfect day.

" Is It Spring Yet??????.......................... Sighhhhhhhh......................."

Good Evening;
So today was a bad day. Could not get to sleep last night until close to 6:00 am this morning, and then only got less than 3 hours of non-restful slumber. I got caught suddenly in the leading edge of a very strong storm front that raced through about 3:30 am. when I ran over to the bathroom to use the restroom. There was a micro-burst of almost horizontal rain and wind gusts strong enough to knock a man off his feet if he happened to be in a precarious position on a short, but steep already soaked and slick grassy slope. As I can attest to! I had to change everything down to and including socks and skivvies. I was already cold and being wet did not help matters. As you can probably guess, my right foot never got warm, and although my fingers and hands eventually did, for some reason I could not get my core warmed up last night either. I started sneezing and running from the nose, and gagging too, as if I was dope sick....which was not only uncomfortable, but extremely odd....and every little movement hurt.

I called the Doctor's answering service to cancel my appointment, which actually makes sense because the Neurologist will not be consulting with the Neurosurgeon until their regular Wednesday staff conference anyway. And it was still raining and getting colder at 6:00 am., and I was NOT going to deal with waiting for a couple different buses if it was still raining, (okay, it had stopped by daylight, but I could not know for sure.).
I finally gave up the fight of trying to warm all the parts of my body at the same time...And go to sleep...about 10:00 am. I called Jenn from the Giant and asked her if I could pick anything up for her...(she wanted a bucket of sanity....but they were fresh out.....lol!)...and let her know I'd be down within the hour to shower and wash and cook a hot meal. NOT!!!! The bus I planned on catching must have come extremely early, (or not at all), and thye alternative one was going by as I came around the corner....the wide open, windy, cold corner I stood waiting on ...until it was apparent the bus was not coming and too late to go inside somewhere.
I eventually got to Jenn's, at Noon, an hour later.....with a headache behind my left eye that is still here, taking effin' root! I cooked, showered washed, dried, and packed clothes, ate, shaved, played with Devin....not neccessarily in that order....lol. I was done and on the way to the bus stop at 4:30 pm. headed for the coffeeshop.

While I was there I called Erik of Pikesville PC, www.pikesvillepc.com ,
and he used TeamViewer to activate and register some software that was about to expire
and generally checked over all the systems.

In a conversation on the bus a man asked me, as many people do, why I don't stay with my daughter and family. At least he phrased it as a question, politely, not as an indignant declaritive statement, something to the effect of, "Your daughter should take you in", or better yet..."TELL! your daughter to let you live with them!" all of them clueless as to the living arrangements and population of her home! Well today was a reminder that even if they had a frickin' mansion it would be too small an environment for any long term residency with my son-in-law, he's even moodier than I am! And I'll just leave THAT sleeping dog lie........

Anyway, that's it for now, Starbucks, buses, gas station, then here, frozen fingers, sciatica, headache and all.......lol.

"The Old Gray Mare........................or...................The 'Gray Lady' Sings The Blues................."......

Good Morning;

Well I decided to type this one in gray, (which is basically for my own amusement now that I have no real control of the color YOU are going to be reading.....lol.), because that's the kind of day it's been. Warm muggy gray, wet rainy gray, misty foggy gray, cold wet clammy gray, Dorian Gray, Long Gray Line, Macy Gray, battleship gray, Gray's Anatomy, Gray Squirrel, Gray Goose, (which would be much appreciated right now)...etc...etc...etc. Take your choice of one of the ready made grays, or mix and match and create your own!
The day started when I woke up at 6:00 am. to adjust the fluid level in my internal wastewater treatment, storage & disposal system to a solid gray curtain of rain and temps. in the upper 50s. After taking my morning meds I lay, (laid..layed...??) back down and all three of us, (me, myself, & I....an LLP, incorporated in Delaware for tax purposes), went back to sleep to the hypnotic rhythm of the steady tapping of all the various leaks and the soft sussuration of the wheels of the cars passing by.
I woke up again about 8:00 am. to the world covered in a soft wet fuzziness and the sound of Led Zeppelin's "Misty Morning Hop" echoing off the buildings as a juvenile 'longhaired metalhead' and an elderly 'grayhaired no-see-um' did the 'fender fandango' in the thickening haze. I crawled back into the coccoon and slipped back into sleep after checking what was the latest time I needed to be up and out and at the bus stop to be a the JCC to meet Rachel as she came off stage. Which happened to be
1:15 pm., so I spent the next 3 & 1/2 hours curled up on top of the sleeping bag, (I was that warm), and drifting in and out of some of the weirdest dreams I have had in a longgggg time!
(One of the mildest of which was about the verbal exchange I had with my Neurologist, who happens to be, young, blond, tall, and hot!..........[and who, for her privacy, and my wellbeing..{remember this is the woman who was stabbing needles and electrodes in my leg and wiggling them around....and that was her version of 'gentle'...I'm still cramping up and feeling the results....lol! Not gonna piss her off with any invasion of privacy issues!}..will remain nameless!].......(okay is everybody caught up now and clear on the encapsulated parenthetical commentary....lmao!....good back to the main thread about my dream.....ummm, where was I going with this now???....oh, yeah....As she is twisting that last probe around in my calf like a little kid trying to get the last little drop of milkshake out of a cup, she is asking various questions related to the pain/tingling/numbness in my hands and right foot and also other areas. and about any changes in sleep patterns, eating habits, exercise, etc.
She also asked about libido...higher, lower, etc.....I looked her in the eye and said........
"Well, first of all, I'm not seeing anyone so there is no real baseline for comparison, but in general, between depression and certain of the meds, it is pretty damn low....you figure it out....I'm laying, (lieing?---it's only the 2 of us today, myself had a meeting.....LOL!), here half-ass naked with the sheet that's supposed to be covering me fallen off, and two beautiful women are running there hands up and down my arms, leg and foot and leaning your bodies into me at times, and my pulse and respiration rate, not to mention my BP, are staying the same, and I'm bantering with you on a technical level and NOT throwing out risque' double entendres.......besides which the 'space shuttle' has not only NOT lifted off for near earth orbit,......it has not even left the damn hangar!"
Barely getting it all out with a straight face, I could not hold it back as I watched the dawning comprehension on her face and the technician's face as they parsed the sentence for meaning.....LMFAO!!! It's a good thing the testing was over at that point, because the seriousness, gravity, and medical decorum flew out the window. Thank goodness for people with senses of humor who are not afraid to take them out of their packing and play with them!)
So I got up and out and over to the bus stop under the hovering slate bgray rain clouds at 1:15 pm. and caught the bus to the bus to the JCC and arrived early enough to talk to Rachel for a minute as she was waiting to go on stage, just after 2:00 pm. By 2:30 pm. she was dressed and we walked through the warm, gray drizzle to the bus stop just in time to catch the bus to Mt. Washington. We walked into the coffeeshop just as the rain let loose in dark gray sheets of water. After playing musical chairs we finally table hopped to one of the big tables when Rob let us know he was leaving and saved the table as we ran across to Whole Foods in the deepening gray twilight. Rachel can eat like horse, but at least she likes health foods as well as garbage, and burns it off quick. We hit the salad and hot bars for broccoli and 2 kinds of chicken and cold pasta and cucumbers and tiny grape tomatoes and sesame sticks, and turkey in gravy and macaroni & cheese and mashed potatos plus a couple of 'pretzel rolls' from the bakery...(they are awesome if you heat them and butter them....uummmmm!), and a can of root beer and one of ginger ale. All that for $10.00, and there were only crumbs left! Well, she took home half her roll and a can of ginger ale because I have a bucket of sugar cookies from Giant still.
We had just started eating around 4:15 pm. when her mother called and wanted to know if she was ready to be picked up yet...lol. We made arrangements for around 5:30 pm. and finished eating and set up the Bookworm Adventures Deluxe on the laptop and played that for 2 hours and then Rachel got on pbskids.com and took over the computer for herself. I looked at the time and it was 7:00 pm. already and called her mother....lol. OOOPS! they were so tired out from all the opening night nervousness Saturday night and then a 2:00 pm. matinee today she just sat down and spaced out for a while.....lol. She came by to get Rachel about 15 minutes later and I started packing up and then walked over to the bus stop. Typical Sunday night bad weather ride that you've heard me bitch about before.
Damn! there was just a wind gust that rattled the shed to it's foundations! The wind has picked up steadily now that the rain has finally stopped... and how did it get to be 3:30 am. already!!!! No wonder my fingers feel like frozen sausages!
Back to the bus ride...
The bus was 20 minutes late and the driver was on his last run of the night, so of course he was speeding more than usual, regardless of the road and weather conditions, to say nothing of the condition of the bus or comfort and safety of the passengers. I had a 30 minute wait for the next bus up to here and I had only my light jacket, it is always windy at the Plaza station and it was getting colder then too., Normally I have few more minutes wait at Mt. Washington for the bus that is scheduled for 8:20 pm. which at first I thought the one I caught was, (until I saw it pull in 15 minutes after I got dropped off), and have much less time standing around waiting. Anyway, I hit the Giant and when I came out the rain was a deluge! I stood there for 20 minutes waiting for it to slow down enough to walk to the shed without getting soaked to the skin.
And that's it, came in, set-up bedding, turned on laptop, dealt with e-mail, wrote this post,
" an' froze me effin' digits off, mate! "

Tomorrow is an appointment with the Neurosurgeon...( no....he is the large black man, it's the Neurologist who I saw last week......and this morning, in my dreams.....lol).
Then I am going to go over to Jenn's and do laundry, which is a critical level now!
Damn.....what was THAT noise?!? Something very large and very metal just blew across the parking lot....and sounded like it hit one of the Giant night crews cars!!

Then eat, shower, shave, dress, and probably head over to the coffeeshop.

OKAY!!, Now THAT was something large and wooden, I have to go look outside this time!!!!!...lol!

"The Play's The Thing.........................."

Good Morning;
Another late night/early morning, end of the day wrap-up report.
Went to sleep at 3:30 am. after signing off computer,
woke up at 9:00 am., peed and took meds,
went back to sleep until Noon, went to Giant for coffee & food,
ate a salad behind the library at the picnic table & read,
went to Jenn's, showered, shaved, had 2nd cup of coffee,
walked to R. R. Plaza Metro station bus loop, read for an hour,
caught 6:40 pm. bus almost to JCC, walked rest of way,
sat and read for 30 minutes until doors opened at 7:30 pm.,
met Rachel and her sister and the 'ex' and 'friend' as they came in,
watched the Jewish Theatre Workshop production of 'The Dybbuk',
waited for bus back to Jenn's and took other bus route halfway then
walked when first bus passed in the OPPOSITE direction at the time
it should have been going BACK to Metro station,
stopped at Jenn's long enough to grab bags and rush to bus stop
to catch 11:30 bus back to shed and stood and waited until it showed at 11:49,
went into gas station and played $2.00 on Keno for 30 minutes until lose-lose,
came over to shed and rearranged sleeping gear for warmer temperatures,
checked e-mail and am writing this post!
And so it goes....

"The Dybbuk" (Between Two Worlds)-A Tale Of Love, Kabbalah, Possession, & Destiny, written in 1912-1917, by S. Ansky
The play went very well and was extremely interesting. Rachel made her walk -on in the first 15 minutes and left for the babysitters. I gotta give the 'ex' her props for
her performance, she played a couple-three parts, all basically the same, but she was made for the role of an old 'bubby' in a 'shtetl' in late 1800s Poland.
She nailed the part, and in a perfect over-the-top in character performance.....chewed the scenery to shreds!
It is a fascinating play that I am not even going to attempt to explain or summarize other than to say it is very Jewish in content and meaning and mysticism. Google it, and there are a few film versions out there to view.

I am picking Rachel up after her appearance tomorrow..(today)..and we going to lunch and Starbucks and she will be picked up after the play ends. I'm done for now,

"....'This Is Dedicated......'.......aka.........'Sherrie.....Sherrie Baybee'.................."

Good Evening;
Well it's another day that I'm in a non-writing mood, and I do believe I am entitled to a few, after more than 27 months of almost daily journaling....lol.
But here is a short rundown of my Friday...(and only because I ran into one of my loyal readers in Starbucks today who told me she's become addicted and needs her daily fix of 'Dave's Daily Drama' as FOX45 put it....and I know how painful withdrawal can be, and I'd never knowingly wish that on anyone!).

I was up at 8:30 am. when my phone chirped, thinking it was a text I grabbed it and nothing was there, so I just figured that it was the 'finished charging' signal, not remembering that it was the noise it makes when the power cord is disconnected from the phone or the wall. I attempted to go online and kept getting messages that the wifi was not available and there were NO networks in range, secured or unsecured, and that the Internet connection was disabled.
So.... I'm cussing like a longshoreman...(or my first wife in the delivery room............lol!)...and trying all kinds of things to bring it up, knowing there are at least half a dozen networks in range of me here at the shed. No luck. This kills the better part of an hour and a half and the lantern is getting dim because it needed a charge even before I started. I go to plug it in and...nothing, it does not get brighter nor doers either charge indicator light come on. At this point the light bulb above my head comes on, (and today it was above my head...as in the comics.....'Eureka!'.....yesterday after the testing, I could have played Uncle Fester from The Addams Family with a real light bulb not the battery operated prop!......which I had one of as a kid.....but that's a whole 'nother story.....lol!), and I realize that the power is out. Which gets me to wondering if someone pulled the plug to my extension cord...and hey, by the way..what are those voices and noises that I've been hearing and not focusing on, all my attention being drawn by the absence of wifi,...right outside! Well....I peek out the door and see the B G & E trucks with the cherry pickers extended and men working on the main feeder lines, and notice all the light are out in all the stores and traffic signals......and, well.....duuuh, no power....no wifi!

So I get up and head over to the Giant and learn that the power went out about.....uh huh...8:30 am.! The store was open with lighting and all computers and cash registers backed up by a generator.....which does not have the capability to carry the massive load required to power all the freezer and refrigeration units, (it would have to be half as big as the store to do so!).
And just an Op/Ed comment on the behavior of some of the narcissistic, ignorant, and self-centered assholes in Pikesville, (and don't worry, this is an all-inclusive equal opportunity rant crossing all religious, racial, ethnic, age, and gender lines!)
To try to save as much of the food as possible by keeping in the cold, Giant blocked off the freezer aisles to do the same thing you do at home...open the doors as minimally as possible...and the open front cool and cold cases were covered in plastic sheeting taped shut.
Well.....these idiots shoved the barriers aside, (and they were dozens of nested shopping carts...UPSIDE DOWN!!!), went into the aisles after being asked not to over the PA system, and either ripped open or pulled down the plastic sheets or stood there with the doors wide open, staring, with their mouths open and drool running down their bovine faces, or they talked on their cell phones having conversations so inane that it made Charlie Sheen's and Moammar Kaddafi's recent screeds seem like Nobel Prize worth material!!!
Oh, and you did NOT want to be near the deli counter, the comments I overheard had me begging someone I knew behind the counter to give me one of the rotisserie skewers to shove in one ear and out the other!

Yeah, anyway, it was 11:15 am. by the time I got out of there and the power had just come back on for that part of the grid sector. I walked past the library on my way to get on the bus to my appointment with Prologue at Noon. The power was still out on this block and the library was closed. I just had to drop a book in the night drop outside and headed around the corner towards the bus stop, when I mentioned to this woman that the library was closed due to no power. She responded with an eloquent and intellectual "Hunh??" and I elaborated and spoke quite distinctly and slowly, "Noooo Poooowweeerrr!" She came back in an accusatory manner, as if it was my fault and blaming me would bring back the magic lightnings...."you're kidding!"...(exclamatory....Not...interrogatory). So I admitted it and told her, "Yes, I'm kidding, I want all the books for myself, and no one can read any, so, I'm out here in front of the library telling everyone it's closed so they won't be able to read my books and use up all the word before I get to them!". Meanwhile I did not know that right behind me was one of the librarians.....who, as the woman walked up to the door herself and shook it, [it's an electric eye operated sliding door....lol], ignoring the other dozen people standing outside waiting to see if the power would come back on soon, who told her it was closed and locked, and tried to push it open.....looked at me and smiled and shook her head and said...."What a moron!", and we both cracked up.

Anyway, just after I got on the bus, (and THAT was a fun ride with a maniac driver and no working stoplights!....I'm STILL puckered up!.....lol!), my phone rings and I get a call saying there is an emergency...I need to come by immediately...(and this is something that must remain private for the sake of others)...so I called Prologue at 11:25 am. and got no answer and the stupid automated voicemail dumped me, so I waited 5 minutes and called back again. This time I got the receptionist/operator, who told me my caseworker was not in the building..(and she had told me she would be in the office all day)...so I left a message with her to deliver to my caseworker that I called away at short notice for an emergency and would not be in. When I got a chance to check my e-mail around 4:00 pm. I found a message asking if I had forgotten the meeting or if I was sick. This not the first time I have left messages with one of the 2 receptionist/operators, in person and on the phone, that never got delivered, disappearing into the ether, never to be seen again. NOT a very professional way to staff the 'first contact' a caller or visitor has to the company...is it?

I finally went to Starbucks later, for the first cup of coffee too, any longer and something was gonna snap!, and a woman sits down next to me and says "I know you".... "we've met before"! It was a woman who I met in the Giant, (who used the "I know you!" at our first meeting also....lol.
We talked for a good while, and she tells me she reads the blog everynight, just before she goes to bed, that my life and stories have become habit forming, an addiction.....lol.
Needless to say I was, (and still am), very flattered! She also asked about my friend Allan, (who stopped in to see me yesterday afternoon, before I went down to Monkee's), and used to be good friends with him and his ex-wife.
SMALLTIMORE in action!
Then it was read and eat dinner and read some more until it was time to get the 9:10 pm. bus back to the Plaza Station, and the next bus up to Pikesville, the Giant, where I didn't get anything because a case of indecision threatened to become a case of anxiety, then the gas station, where a dollar bet paid me $2.00, which kept getting reinvested and splitting 2 games for a $2.00 win and a loss, for a dozen games until I got 2 losses in a row, and that means it's time to quit!

Then back in here to the shed around 11:20 pm.....annnnd ...back to you Chet....
(don't get it?... never mind, you are probably too young...[Enjoy It!!!]...but if you really want to know...Google, "Huntley and Brinkley"). Now I'm about to get off line before my hands freeze, particularly the fingers, and I start to scream out obscenities to make them hurt less...(it's a fact....saw it on Mythbusters!), and/or the battery runs out of juice.

Later.......................Dave

(And I said I was not gonna write.........lol!)

"Crazy Harry Plays With Electricity....... OR ......... Excuse Me Doctor, Is It Supposed To Smoke Like That?......."

Good Evening;
So, do you remember Max Headroom? Welllllll...zzzztt...Th...th...th...that's what I felt likkkke....today!
Nerve Conduction Testing and EMG, what fffuu, ffuu, ffuunnn!
And of course the problems are neither explained or resolved regarding the pain, tingling and numbness in my hands and foot. Oh..but I can add a case of Carpel Tunnel to my list of confirmed diagnosed issues....I had no inkling, but....seek and ye shall find............lol!
Anyway, some blood tests have been ordered, (for at least 10 days in the future, so my poor abused muscles can flush all the over-produced enzymes out of themselves...or I'd be misdiagnosed with all sorts of non-existent problems.....lol)
My fingers are burning up with the cold now...I'll go into more details tomorrow.

"Shock And...........Awe Sh*t That Hurts!!..............."

Good Evening;
Not really in the mood to write, but I gotta do it if I am able. Once I start just blowing it off without a valid reason.....well, like an avalanche,...(and sh*t....lol)... once ennui and apathy start there's nowhere to go but downhill.
So...after falling asleep somewhere around 4:00 am. I was up at 7:00 am. and at the gas station expelling the remains of the Thai food from last night....and I did NOT even get the spicy/hot stuff! Went back to sleep about 8:00 am. and finally got up at 1:00 pm., not that I wanted to, but...see above. I'm just glad the blues morphed into a full blown clinical depressive episode without dicking around for a week. This I am familiar with......not thrilled with maybe, but a known factor none the less.
I hit the Giant and got some cash and bought a monthly bus pass and went to a little bar in Mt. Washington and had a burger and fries and a beer. I texted Jenn, (I got my minutes yesterday), and asked if I could come over after the kids were asleep and shower and crash as I have the EMG/Nerve Conduction testing tomorrow morning at 9:30 am. I got an okay, and 15 minutes later another text asking if I would mind watching the kids while they each went out a meeting.
I got here about 5:30 pm., and that's about it. Took a shower and my meds and I feel a little better, but not much, now my sinuses are all clogged up and I forgot they have this nasty dry, forced hot air heat. Oh well.
That's it for now, I'll tell you all about my visit to Doc Frankenstein's laboratory and being wired up to the lightning rods and Tesla cils.

" More 'Peanut Butter Blues And Melancholy Jam'..............."

Good Morning:
It's almost 1:00 am. and I'm about to crash out, so this is just a quick outline.
Monday night Jenn gave me a ride back to the shed from the coffeeshop after her meeting. As I walked up to it I saw the door had been opened again. I am fairly sure that it is because the latch worked loose from the door being shaken and pushed on by the really strong winds that were gusting to such extreme speeds when the storm fronts passed through Sunday night and Monday morning....at least I am hoping that's what it was.
Today I was up and out and to the library by 9:00 am. to grab a book for Jenn, which I dropped off along with my bags while I went to an appt. in East Baltimore. Then back to Jenn's where she took the trimmers and took off most of my hair and a few pieces of scalp for good measure. I ate and showered and headed out to BCCC to wait for Michelle to finish her clinic lab and we picked up Paul and headed down to Glen Burnie for the poetry reading.
There were about a dozen folks there, which was not bad for the short notice given before the event. I read about 15 of my poems, in sets of 3, as we round robinned the room. It was a bit weird at first, reading to an audience again, but still felt good to be in the environment with creative people who appreciate the art form, and my personal variation of it.
After the reading on the way back to Baltimore, a wave of...???... call it, 'Post Poetic Depression' kind of overtook me. A combination of adrenaline hangover, emotional overload, (I pulled out some works I have not seen in a decade, that I thought all of their power to affect me had faded, and would only be an exercise in technical prowess.....F*CK WAS I WRONG!!!!!), and physical tiredness.
Compare it to the Post Coital feeling you get when you've just had fantastic sex with someone.......who you are not in love with. As good as it gets....there is always a certain emptiness.
Then the simple fact that I was leaving behind a portion of 'normal' society, and everyone else was heading back to their homes...... and you get the picture.
Don't gtet me wrong, this is not another episode of the recurring clinical depression.......more like another case of "peanut butter blues" & "melancholy jam".
In any case....
my fingers are too cold,
and my mind is slowing down
the dream machine is spinning,
and I'm bound for sleepy-town.
my head is on the pillow,
and the lights are going brown,
While dreams circle my head
with a twisting turning crown.

"Social Network My Ass!!!........More Like Sociopathic Network!!................"

Good Evening;
Well it's been raining and windy most of the afternoon since I left Jenn's, and though it was very warm earlier, it is cold and damp now.
After I showered I grabbed the bus over here to the Starbucks and used my last $3.69 to get something to eat and drink. I saved bus fare for tomorrow and I may have some coins left rolling around. I slept poorly and can barely stay awake. Jenn is giving me a ride back to Pikeville after her home group.
My Facebook account is all effed up and would not let me log in saying that it noticed that I was trying to log in from an unfamiliar location, which I was not! Then it would not let me sign on and said my answer to my 'secret question' was incorrect....it wasn't. Then I'm told that I can have a few 'trusted friends' verify my identity and to call them and a whole other rigamarole. I don't have any minutes left to do all this calling back and forth....so I said screw it and got a gmail account and logged back on with a new me. I sent an e-mail to every one I had an address for telling them 'Yes it is me and I do have a new account very similar to the old one and to expected friend requests.
I am so tired I am falling asleep on the keyboard...

"Yippee Ki Yay........... MotherF#&^%$!!!.............."

Good Morning;
So it's 1:30 am. and I'm at Jenn's crashing on the couch. I knew it was going to rain tonight...(and I was right, it's coming down so hard and heavy the gutters and down spouts are overwhelmed and the courtyard just out side the patio door is rapidly taking on the appearance of the Everglades!)...and asked if she minded if I stayed the night. I was, and am still, stiff and sore and achey, like I am coming down with a cold, and just did not feel like getting dressed and packing up and dealing with the bus and the sleeping bag etc...etc...etc..
Of course now I CAN'T get to sleep.....story of my life...lol. At least I'm dry and will be able to start tomorrow without having to first go out in the rain to just take a pee and get a cup of coffee. Nothing exciting happened today....except for the intruder discovery I mentioned earlier....played with the grand kids, fed the ravenous little heathens, and fed them and fed them and fed them.....lol!
I watched the second half of "Die Hard 2--Die Harder", .....Bruce Willis at his deadpan wisecracking best! And that's about it.

"Trespassers Will Be Violated...............Survivors Will Be Persecuted!..............."

Good Afternoon;
Well....I was wrong last night when I said no one had been in the shed yesterday!
By the light of day and with the door wide open I saw cigarette ash on a stack of extra cardboard boxes on the shelf just as one steps in the door.
!!!!!!!!!F*CK F*CKETY F*CK F*CK F*CK!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad I did not know this last night or I NEVER would have gotten to sleep.
I was up until 2:15 am. anyway reading and messing with the computer as it was. I E-mailed Jenn at 8:00 am. this morning and told her I wasn't coming by in the morning and would be there by 3:30 pm. as requested. (And of course it's 3:40 now and I'm here and they're not home yet...but I expected that.....lol.)
But as for the shed.... I'm going to have to find a more secure and yet still unobtrusive and discreet way to lock it up. A cable lock is one possibility. I am not trying to waste time or money on anything elaborate, because let's face it....oe good kick and the whole door....and maybe the shed itself will come down....lol.

Anyway, that's all for now as my day so far has been Giant, library, bus, here waiting for Jenn.

Later....................Dave

"Not By The Hair Of My Chinny-Chin-Chin!..."

Good Evening;
So I get off the bus and go in the Giant and futz around for a bit and head past the shed over to the gas station and I notice one of my 'tell-tales' has been disturbed. Without being overt about it I pass close by and look at the door and it has been opened. Yeah.... I continue around the corner and everything else looks ok, therefore I keep on going to the gas station while looking for anything suspicious in the area......
....................and see nothing that's noticeable.
After I play and lose my dollar on the Keno I head back over to the shed and gently push the door open and switch on the flashlight.Nothing is missing and nothing looks disturbed......any more than is to be expected from a strong wind blowing open the door.
I figure the combination of the wind and that the improvised latch I have on the inside to keep the door from blowing open looking as if it may have had too much play in it, from the door's virating against it in the wind, caused an equipment malfunction to occur.
That doesn't mean my adrenaline level dropped instantly to normal, or that my 'fast twitch' 'fight or flight' muscles immediately relaxed....my sphincter is still in 'crash dive' mode....as in 'seal all watertight doors and hatches'.......lol!
Anyway....since I'm gonna be up for a bit, I may as well make you suffer too....lol.
I called Rachel back from the Starbucks phone and she sang me Happy Birthday and told me she has a present for me....tickets to see The Jewish Theatre Workshop's production of "The Dybbuk" at the Weinberg JCC Park Heights location. She has a small non-speaking walk on part in the play.
She tells me.."I have to walk across the stage, holding Mommy's hand.....and look real sad.". She already has the scenery chewing, ham actor, prima donna moves at times..........lol! Her mother (the 'ex') is also in the play and it is being directed by her current....boyfriend/partner/live-in S.O....whatever.
So I am going to see her when the play opens, one of the performances between the 5th-18th of March.
That's it for now, other than a couple more E-wishes for my B-day I found when I logged on here in the shed.
I need some sort of electric gloves my fingers are killing me again!

"Double Nickel Day...................."

Good Evening;
So I know you are wondering WTF is with all the qwertys......lol.
Well, each one was typed in a different color selected on the tool/task/menu bar.
Obviously the system is still effed up, even after clearing caches and cookies......with milk even....lol.

Anyway, it has been a pretty laid back Birthday. I was picked up at the Giant around 10:00 am. by one of Jenn's friends and watched the kids as they went out to brunch. I cooked a couple pork chops for a sandwich, ate, played with the grandkids, showered, did a load of laundry, played with the kids some more and rolled out about 5:30 pm.
(Thank You Pooh...for the lunch 'n laundry.......lol.)
I am touched by all the E-mails, Facebook posts and messages, and Comments, (some of which were not published by request), phone calls and texts, wishing me Happy Birthday. Thank You all!
The Internet and Facebook really come into their own by reuniting far flung and long lost friens and family.
I walked into the Starbucks and had my free birthday coffee, and my friend Dave from Whole Foods and his wife came in and had a pizza and an order of bread sticks with Garlic sauce which they shared with me, (not that I needed anymore to eat, but the bread sticks made from the pizza dough and the garlic sauce kept calling me......lol. Yeah....no open flames in the shed tonight!........LOL!)
I'm going over to Jenn's tomorrow at either 3:30 pm. to watch the kids while they go out, or possibly in the morning as they are leaving for church, then going to a party, just to spend some time in front of the TV alone until they stop back, drop off the kids and run right out. It depends on whether I'm up, or feel like getting up or not, what time I get there.
I'm packing up now, and Rachel just called me to wish me a happy birthday, so I have to call her on a borrowed phone as I'm down to my last 3 'emergency minutes' until Tuesday.

"Swedish Fish........................."

Good Evening;
Just a last post before I become eligible for 'senior discounts' ...lol!
And to illustrate another couple examples of the spirit of human decency, compassion, and graciousness that are often overlooked in the waves of.....
SH*T...SH*T...SH*T!!!
Sorry about that, I had a complete post written and had clicked on the publish button and BAM!!! The clock hit Midnight, the AT&T WiFi server burped and dropped out for a few seconds, taking along with it of course my beautiful and eloquent prose.
And a large part of it revolved around being posted before Midnight, both humorously and seriously. And now my fingers are burning with the cold and it hurts to type....I shall bravely attempt to overcome the elements and my own rapidly failing stamina and fight the sleepiness which NOW decides to come creeping back........

OR NOT.......LOL!

Since I am now eligible for 'senior discounts'.....it also gives me a lot of leeway with 'senior moments'!..........HA!
To continue;
.....ignorance, stupidity, pettiness and self centered greed we are deluged with in our daily lives.
I need to thank and express my gratitude to a young woman who must remain nameless due to the anile corporate atmosphere of the company she works for. A company that brags about it's conservation efforts.....which all seem to be in 3rd world countries, while making no real attempt to recycle here at home, and because of a constant mindset always in fear of litigation throws away an unimaginable amount of edible food each and everyday, while food banks and soup kitchens go wanting and at times turning away needy clients. I was blessed to get a few pastries and sandwiches to last me until I get my little bit of monthly cash....and I was STILL able to pass on something to someone else.
And then as I was getting off the bus after spending the ride and her layover time talking with my bus driver friend 'Pooh', who I see on the #58 line 4-5 night a week, and we talk about our kids and just about everything else, (I was able to tip her off about the Ice Show and discounts), She says wait a second, grabs her purse.....and she hands me a bill, saying,"It's only a $20.00, but, Happy Birthday"!
ONLY a $20.00, !?!?....I was stunned and speechless for a moment, this was straight 'out of the blue'. I finally recovered enough to thank her without stuttering like a fool just as she waved and pulled off.
It's folks like this, and the young girl at the Metro station the other night who lost her bus pass. So I gave her the last little bit of money I had, $1.59, (and told her someone on the bus ought to have a penny if the driver won't let her slide.....and yes there are drivers THAT petty). 5 minutes later she comes running back, almost missing her bus, and hands me the money back, telling me she found her pass! Wellllll, without going into specifics.....8 out of 10 people at that station at that time of night would not have done that.

People who keep me wanting to help out, whether to 'pay it forward', or to 'pass it on', take some of the sting out of some of the pain I'm dealing with on an emotional level.

Now if someone could take the sting out of the feeling that will be returning to my frozen fish stick fingers, (and not even the Good fish sticks....I'm talking about those nasty freezer burned mystery fish minced ones!...............lol!), as soon as I hit the Publish button, fold up the laptop and shove my hands between my but and the sleeping bag.....ow..ow...ow...ow...ow...ow!!!!

Well, when I started this post, I guess you could have called me middle aged, (with the mindset of a 30 year old....lol.), now I'm standing....laying actually.... on the edge of senior citizen. Now I have to decide....will it be "Crotchety Old Geezer".....or......."Grumpy Old Codger.....?????......LMAO!!!!!
After due consideration.......I think it's gonna have to be the"G.O.C.".
Why??...Because it makes me think of the movie "Grumpy Old Men"
You still ask...Why?......?
Think about it....who was the female lead actress in that movie?
Riiiigghhhttt!.....Ann-Margret!!!!!!
YES!...........Grumpy beats Crotchety, six ways from Sunday!

Later........................Dave

"Indoor Rain.......&.........The Peanut Butter Birthday Blues.............."

Good Morning;
Well it was a soggy night, between the runoff from the snow melt and then the downpour, at times it seemed louder inside than out. I misaligned one of my 'drip displacers' and did not realize it until this morning when I sat up and reached down to the foot of the sleeping bag and that found the small blue outer blanket that covers my feet and lower legs was beaded with moisture from a 'ricochet drip'. At least I didn't stand up and walk over it and soak my socks. Now of course the rain has stopped and I cannot readjust it until next time......such is life.
I'm about to head over to the Giant and decide whether to spend my last $5.00 in Foodstamps on a jar of peanut butter and one of jelly, and live on that for the next 5 days, (I already have 5 hamburger rolls leftover and a half a can of Pringles), or just say the hell with it and grab a little bit of lunch meat and eat that for today and maybe tomorrow,,,,,and trust to luck, chance, karma, providence.....call it what you will. I think I have a dollars worth of coin that I'm going to offer up to the Keno gods.......I've always been pretty lucky on a 'last roll of the dice' type gamble, (over the long run)....who knows?.....lol
And if push comes to shove, there's always the Dunkin' Dumpster...and the really cheap $3.70 a bottle Rikalov vodka....lol!
I've got to contact Jenn to see about a shower tonight of tomorrow morning, and maybe dinner or lunch, which, other than the free Birthday Drink from Starbucks, and maybe hand drawn cards from Rachel and Edward, is about all I'm expecting this year.
But, Ya know.....if I want a PARTY......I've got a road flare lying around in here somewhere, I can always jam a bunch of dumpster doughnuts together, call it a birthday cake, shove the flare in the center of it, and light it off in the middle of the parking lot tomorrow while dancing and singing "Happy Friggin' Birthday" at the top of my lungs while chugging the vodka straight.....(shudder)....then all the special guests will show up and put on a sound and light show with sirens and horns and bells and whistles with red and white and blue flashing lights...(see how patriotic I am)...and those really cool strobe lights that spin all over the place. And they'll bring me jewelry as a present, nice shiny silver bracelets, and clothing too a lovely jacket the belts in the back with big leather straps and more shiny silver buckles, and they'll even give me anice room for the night..with soft padding all around!
Michelle and I were supposed to go out tonight and do something, but that was put on the back burner last night when we talked via Facebook. (though she is possibly hosting/emceeing a poetry night on Tuesday the 1st of March and wants me to be involved........what comes around goes around, that's how we met in the first place, 11 years ago.) I'm open to any other offers now.....

Anyhow..........I'm heading over to the coffee shop as soon as I decide what to get at Giant, I've got 'coffee credit' left for one more mug of coffee, and of course the refills are free with my registered card.

Later..................Dave

Holy Sh*t!!!!! I'm not going anywhere for a while, a storm front just blew in with incredible winds and even more incredible gusts, and the rain on the roof and walls sounds like machine gun fire!!!!
Oh Hell............gotta run and start bailing and patching................."
Insane...now the sun is out the sky is bright blue and it feels almost like summer temperatures out there.....
"Baltimore........if you don't like the weather......just wait 15 minutes.
See Ya.....................for real this time...............lol!
Damn it........I did not even have time to put my boots on and it's pouring again...a bit less interior precipitation this time though.
And now there's thunder and lightning.....really, Really, REALLY!!!! close thunder and lightning....the shed shook!
I'm pulling the plug for safety. And I may as well have breakfast...I may be here a while.
UMMM....YUUUUUMMMMMM....Mayonaisse sandwich!

"Lazy Day Muscle Car Mania....................."

Good Evening;
Well it's about that time again, when I start to finish off the last cup of coffee and start putting things away in my bag before the coffee shop closes up.
I was up late last night watching parts of the Homelessness Marathon from Kansas City on the laptop. It must have been after 2:00 am. when it got too cold and I burrowed into the sleeping bag. I woke up at 8:30 am. just because the bladder forced the issue and went back to sleep until 11:30 am. and said 'screw it, no pressing reason to get up', and went back to sleep until 1:30 pm. For once I really slept and felt rested if not relaxed. The unfocused anxiety is still hovering over my head at this point, even if the depression has abated a good deal.
The Focused anxiety is an old acquaintance......typical end of the month blues that you too get; out of cash, out of food etc., until March 2nd. I figure that the looming birthday on Saturday and it's numeric and chronological significances.....................'ain't helpin' none' either.
As of Saturday I can Officially become a member of the AARP!
Oh Joy, Oh Wow, Ohhhh Hell!!!!
I've been getting posts from Jalopnik an automotive news site, www.jalopnik.com ...(I STILL cannot get the turned links back on yet, sorry, you have to enter it in your browser yourself)..
about the new Chevy Camaros..the Convertible, Rallye, SS, and now the...."ZL1", (and any gear head my age knows what THAT appellation means.....slobber, slobber, drool.....LOL!).....
Then today I get a post about the Ford Mustang Boss 302....AND the "Laguna Seca"...(damn I'm glad I'm wearing a bib!......LOL)!
I've been leaving little hints about the Camaro, and now, I'm torn between the 2.....
OKAY.....surprise me.....either one will do!
(See....no greedy wishing for a Ferrari or a Bentley 'R', I'm happy with good ole American muscle)
Anyway.....It's been a slow day and I'm out of here to the buses back to shed and to put up some new "drip deflectors" because I hear that "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall", tonight and tomorrow.

Well it's supposed to be sunny and 45 degrees for my birthday, Saturday, and I hope to grab q shower late Friday night or early the next morning at Jenn's.
I may still be broke....but I'll smell nice.......LOL

"Clean As A Whistle & Fresh As A Daisy.......................And.....................Running In Place..........."

Good Afternoon;
So for obvious reasons I asked Jenn if I could come by and Grab a real quick shower and shave while it was just her and Devin, and the apartment was reasonably sane.
I got there about 1:40 pm. took care of business and had a coffee and played with Devin, and was at the bus stop in time to catch the 3:00 pm. bus over here to Starbucks.
I don't mean to sound gruesome but, I am going to predict that with the quality of driver, (as relating to skills, attitude towards the public, and attitude of entitlement regarding the need to obey common safety and traffic regulations), Baltimore is due for a horrific bus accident due to speed, and reckless and negligent driving....soon!

Anyway, I am here, clean and fresh, and feeling human again. I was not planning to shower until tomorrow, but......even my hair smelled funky.....lol.

I just saw this link on my Facebook page via invisiblepeople.tv ;

"I Didn't Know Farts Could Freeze!..................."

Good Morning;
Well, It was and still is, too damn cold out!
I was awakened, (woken?), twice by heavy duty diesel engines idling and pulling off, half a dozen times by cold feet, and once by a combination of diesel fumes generated from outside and methane fumes generated from inside, (whew....Oscar Meyer Deli Creations....DON'T get the Steakhouse Cheddar!!!), the shed, and cold feet. Needless to say....as I say it....lol......I'm tired, cranky and cold, & putting off getting out of the reasonably bwarm bag and putting on icy clothes and boots. And for obvious reasons....I cannot put the clothes inside the bag and warm them up....lol.
Ah well, I only turned on the computer to check my e-mail, and my hands hurt like hell already....back in the bag, & I'll be up and out when the hydraulic pressure forces me to do so.

"Better Than Handkerchiefs And Underwear...................."

Good Evening;
I'm getting ready to pack up here at the Starbucks and grab the buses back to the shed. The weather is supposed to be clear and cold for the next few days, with tonight getting down to 19 degrees, which will be the low point for the next week. Rain on Friday after Midnight, continuing most of the day and clearing up and sunny and 46 degrees for my birthday on Saturday. Yeah it's that time of year again, and it's probably why I can't get out of this funk. I was saving money to take myself out to eat somewhere decent, but I spent it all on Rachel instead, which I was happy to do, but it leaves me with $2.00 for the next 8 days and about $20.00 in FoodStamps. Like I've said before the end of the month is when all the holidays and other things...(such as my birthday...lol!)....or the Circus, or a show , event, or exhibit that is only going to be here for a week comes through town.
We were lucky with the Ice Show this year though.

Anyway, someone asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I told them besides world peace and a chance to go into outer space......

We'll see by the weekend if they took the hint.....lol!

"Skydiving---$5.00,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, WITH Parachute---$250.00!......................."

Good Afternoon;
Well it was a kind of strange night last night, my FEET, were plenty warm enough, but there was a chill in my core that took hours to get rid of...weird. This morning I just did not want to get out of the bag, the temperature in the shed actually being colder than outside, (it, and the parking lot get almost no direct sunlight in the winter months). When I did get up my hands went numb and then painful almost immediately from handling the nylon on the outside of thr sleeping bag and the wood and metal of the door latch. It takes a good 20 minutes or my hand to become functional for manipulating anything small or needing fine adjustments, like a cell phone or opening the packages of instant coffee and pouring them in the travel mug. I just cannot feel anything in my fingertips......I think the EMG test is on next Thursday the 3rd of March, maybe that will show what the exact cause is.
Driving back to the shed last night ith Jenn was a trip and a half, the roads had not been salted and the 'sneet' was coming down fairly heavy....of course this did not slow down the tailgating asshole speeder behind her on the Smith Ave. hill!
I did not go to the gas station or the Giant but right into the shed and into the bag.

This afternoon when exiting the shed my feet went out from under me.....sideways.....and I hit the ground, the ice and snow covered ground, with my right side in a proper imitation of a PLF, (parachute-landing-fall), ankles-knees-hips-shoulders, with the head up and away from impact while cradling any vibration sensitive like detonators, or charged weapons,....,(oooops...I mean the laptop and other breakables.....sorry....wrong training manual.....lol.) to the body to reduce shock and vibration. Luckily the pants and jacket I had just put on were cold enough themselves that none of the snow that covered most of the right side of my body got a chance to melt and soak in before I brushed it off.
After I finished scorching the air in the immediate vicinity with a choice selection of curses, profanity, and blasphemy, (it's scientifically proven that this will help to ward off and reduce the feeling of pain, until the pain itself dissipates naturally........really!,.....I saw it on Mythbusters!........lol!)
Anyway, this whole mess set the tone for my day, and crossing the street to the bus stop in Pikesville dodging the idiot drivers only exacerbated it. After sitting for 20 minutes on the bus over here to the coffee shop, which allowed the nicely bruised muscles to set and tighten up, and the walk through, over, and around the slush piles on the sidewalk left by the plows......the body and mind reached equivalency. Achy and Pissy and Bitchy about describes it.....you know,like the names of 3 of the OTHER dwarves who never made it big in the Snow White story. (Along with Horny, Hairy, Honky, Sleezy, Greasy, Slimy, Homey, Achmed, and Brucey-Wucey).

After a couple of cups of coffee, a sandwich, and prescription strength Ibuprofen, I'm starting to loosen up a bit, and the 'Russian' coffee I'm about to chug down should do it the rest of the way!!!

I found the solution to one of the 'bugs' I've been dealing with on this computer, and Blogger/Google, I had to dig into the "GOOGLE Chrome" bowser to disable the always on spellcheck, and found part of a fix for the font type & color by going into "Design, Template", but that only changes the default font or color, for the whole batch of posts, past and present. I still cannot figure out why my menuu bar changes do not work.....stay tuned for more exciting info................lol.

"Damn, Stupid, Lying Groundhog............."

Good Afternoon;
I am here in the coffee shop and Steve just came in and told me that there was 5-8 inches of snow forecast for this evening and tonight!?! WTF???
When I looked at the weather yesterday afternoon at Jenn's they were calling for highs near 60 degrees today, (which I knew was not happening when I finally got up and out at 2:00 pm. this afternoon and saw the temperature was 35 degrees on the bank clock/signboard.......lol!), and rain and flurries on Tuesday.
I just went to www.weather.com and he is right, damnit!
COLD WEATHER SUCKS!!!!
(And all related phenomena too!)

Anyway, I'll be back.....
